Palliative care is vital to our community as the medical approach that cares for the dying.
The University of Notre Dame Australia is delighted to see Catholic Care in Sydney launch its program “Living Well Dying Well.”
This program seeks to educate the community about the importance of and need for palliative care at the end of our lives.
Community volunteers can form a compassionate community that enriches the delivery of palliative care through their support and accompaniment of the dying.
Catholic Care’s efforts to train volunteers and expand this volunteer program across Sydney is an excellent and important initiative and necessary to better care for the dying.
UNDA is proud to have been a collaborating organisation and applauds this worthwhile development.”
